About OCSolutions | Who are we, and why are we here?

 

 

 

OCSolutions was founded in 2010 by Raymond O’Hare, former director of Microsoft in Scotland and the current Chairman of the Institute of Directors in Scotland. Over the last 12 months, OCSolutions has worked closely with a number of small and medium sized companies, all with different goals, and at different stages in their organisational development. OCSolutions has delivered a range of services and value to these companies; from "non-exec" advice, guidance and business support, to the more "hands-on" creation and delivery of business plans for new target markets and product launches. In addition, we have worked with a number of these companies on the development of their management teams, as well as making use of our extensive business network for the benifit of a number of our clients. In addition to these activities, Raymond O'Hare has continued to deliver speeches and lectures in the areas of leadership, innovation and technology, as well as contributing to a number of press and media programs and publications. 

 

Prior to setting up OCSolutions, Raymond spent twelve and a half years working for the Microsoft Corporation in a variety of UK wide and Scotland focused roles, he has also spent considerable time at Microsoft’s Redmond based headquarters in Washington State, working and meeting with many of the product, R&D, datacenter, health, financial services, government and utility teams; as well as with many of the corporation’s senior executives over the last twelve years.

  

Throughout his career he has always striven to maximize the potential of the people around him, through strong motivational leadership, clear strategy setting and empowerment.  He believes strongly in leading by example and “organisational balance” and emphasises that focus on a single aspect of a business or organisation may lead to short-term gain, but inevitably will create medium to long term problems.

 

The right blend of governance, clarity of purpose, creativity, financial focus and motivated employees will always deliver sustainable, long term results.  OCSolutions’ mission, is to help organisations of all sizes achieve this critical balance, and thereby enjoy sustained success.
